Starting: 6:00 PM
A community reception marks Black History Month with shared conversation, food and a moment of civic recognition at City Hall.
The Black History Month Council Meeting Reception takes place Tuesday, February 24 at the City of North Miami City Hall. Presented as part of the city’s Black History Month programming, the gathering offers an opportunity for residents and guests to come together over cuisine and fellowship ahead of the evening’s formal proceedings.
Following the reception, the regularly scheduled City Council meeting will include a proclamation honoring the late Michael Anderson, an Emmy Award–winning filmmaker and documentarian, in recognition of his contributions to the Black community.
