Blood Club, Stare Away + Blood Orchid

Chicago post-punk band Blood Club brings a darkwave-leaning bill to Las Rosas in Wynwood with support from Stare Away and Blood Orchid. Presented by Las Rosas and Hexed Miami, the 21 and over show takes place Thursday, May 14, with doors at 9 p.m. and music beginning at 10 p.m. Admission is free with RSVP, and entry is first come, first served. 

Formed in late 2022 on Chicago’s South Side, Blood Club blends post-punk intensity with darkwave textures and the romanticism of the band’s Latino roots. The Miami date closes out a spring run with Stare Away, the Brooklyn solo project of musician Ben Nelson, whose sound draws from classic post-punk, lo-fi electronics and atmospheric indie rock.

The lineup also includes Blood Orchid, a Miami-based dark electronic artist whose recent work moves between minimal club rhythms, synth-goth textures and heavier industrial-leaning sounds. Together, the three acts shape a night of shadowy guitars, electronic pulse and underground alternative music in one of Wynwood’s longtime live music rooms.
