Gain insight into the history of Coconut Grove on a guided evening walking tour on Friday, October 4. Starting at Peacock Park, this guided walk along McFarlane Road and Main Highway will uncover the fascinating stories behind the area’s historic landmarks. Led by local historian Stella Erin Ross, the tour offers a glimpse into the diverse past of the Grove, blending historical insights with local lore.
Participants will use a mobile audio app to follow along, so be sure to bring your smartphone and earphones. Tour proceeds benefit Friends of the Commodore Trail, a local advocacy group dedicated to preserving and improving the historic 5-mile recreational trail that runs through Coconut Grove.
