Curator Talk: The Immutable Will of Nature
This event has passed.
Art enthusiasts and curious minds are invited to a special event this Sunday, July 28 at The Contemporary Art Modern Project (CAMP Gallery) in North Miami. The gallery will host a Curator Talk focused on their current exhibition, The Immutable Will of Nature.
Co-curators Gabe Torres and Amayah Novela will lead a conversation delving into the exhibition's themes and artistic approaches. The event kicks off at noon with an opportunity to view the artworks, followed by the curator talk at 1:30 p.m. Light refreshments and finger foods will be served throughout the afternoon, with the event concluding at 3:00 p.m.
The Immutable Will of Nature, on display until August 31, features the works of six Asian artists: Guang-Yu Zhang, Ziesook You, Hou Guan Ting, Xuanchen Fan, Cecilia Moy Fradet and Su Yu. Through a blend of East Asian and Western artistic traditions, interpreted through a contemporary lens, the exhibition explores humanity's complex relationship with the natural world. The artists grapple with themes of cyclical change, the inevitability of death and renewal, and the delicate balance between human intervention and the enduring power of nature.
The CAMP Gallery represents emerging and mid-career artists working across various media, including installation, painting, photography, sculpture, textiles and video art. Their mission emphasizes the artist's role in reflecting upon both personal and societal issues.
Free parking is available for the event. For more information, please contact hello@thecampgallery.com.
