A drummer, vocalist and songwriter with wide-ranging influences takes the spotlight in an outdoor evening concert at the Arsht Center.
Emily Maddox performs Saturday, November 29 as part of the Live on the Plaza series. Mentored early on by jazz legend Ira Sullivan and later guided by noted drummers including Danny Gottlieb and Willie Stewart, Maddox has performed with artists such as Christian McBride, Julio Iglesias and Latin Grammy winner Chiquis Rivera. Since releasing her debut single in 2020, she has built a catalog of original songs, culminating in her 2024 album Timelines. Her set will feature a mix of originals and covers that span country, pop, indie and funk. Tickets go on public sale September 19.
