A new multimedia exhibition at Kimpton EPIC Hotel offers a layered look at how identity evolves through personal and collective experiences, with a focus on LGBTQ perspectives.
From May 14 through June 30, EPIC Art: Sam Kirk features the work of award-winning multidisciplinary artist Sam Kirk, whose bold, narrative-driven style explores themes of culture, community and self-discovery. The exhibition, titled Transitions: A Blossoming of Identity, brings together lenticular panels, wood paintings and other mixed media to examine key moments that shape how individuals come to understand and express who they are.
Rooted in years of community dialogue and personal reflection, the exhibit highlights both shared and intimate experiences—from the visibility of public celebrations to the quiet affirmation of being recognized. Kirk’s work is known for centering historically excluded voices and creating affirming spaces that reflect the complexity and resilience of queer identity.
A complimentary opening reception will be held on Thursday, May 15, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. The exhibition is on view in the lobby and public areas of the Kimpton EPIC Hotel.
