Bring the family for a day of learning and exploration at HistoryMiami Museum's monthly Free Family Fun Day. The Saturday, July 13 session celebrates the birth of our nation with a special focus on Florida's history in 1776. Families can explore the museum's Tropical Dreams: A People's History of South Florida exhibition through an interactive tour, specifically highlighting Florida's role during the Revolutionary War era.
Throughout the day, families can also enjoy:
- Hearing the story of the Independence Cake inspired by Amelia Simmon, 18th century author of American Cookery
- Participating in hands-on craft activities
HistoryMiami Museum's Free Family Fun Days run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with activities scheduled from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Please note that Family Fun Day programming is subject to change without prior notification.
