Free Family Fun Day
Oct 10, 2026
monthly on the 2nd Saturday - Through Dec 12, 2026
From: Noon to 5:00 PM
A monthly family program offers free museum admission and hands-on activities that connect visitors of all ages with Miami’s history and culture. Held on the second Saturday of each month at the Museum of Miami, Family Fun Day combines exhibitions, interactive experiences, performances and creative activities around a rotating theme.
Each installment offers a different way for children and adults to explore the museum and learn together, with programming shaped by Miami’s communities, traditions and stories.
December 12
The December edition explores winter holiday traditions celebrated across Miami’s diverse communities through music, dance, food, games, crafts and artist-led activities. Local folk artists will share customs from their own cultural traditions, including Yiddish singer and Museum of Miami artist-in-residence Alejandra Czarny, whose presentations draw on Jewish musical traditions and her South American heritage.
Originally from Buenos Aires, Czarny is a singer, composer, educator and music therapist whose work combines traditional Yiddish songs with influences from her Argentine background. Her participation is part of a broader day of performances and hands-on programs highlighting both the differences and shared traditions found in Miami’s winter celebrations.
Admission and Family Fun Day activities are free.
