Historic Kayak Adventure

Discover the Deering Estate's coastal history on a guided kayak adventure. Every first Saturday of the month, starting November 1 and running through May 2, 2025, experienced naturalists will lead participants on a journey through the area's waterways.

As you paddle through the Bay's waters, your guide will share stories about the Deering Estate's storied past, including its role as a maritime hub and its connection to the indigenous Tequesta people.

This adventure is recommended for intermediate paddlers aged 18 and older. All kayaks are two-seater tandem kayaks, so tickets should ideally be purchased in pairs. Single-registered kayakers will be paired with another single-registered participant.

Bring closed-toe shoes, comfortable paddling clothing, snacks, water and sunscreen. Please note, alcoholic beverages are not permitted.

The tour meets at the Visitor Center. Space is limited.
