Jazz at MOCA

Live jazz and evening museum access come together during a free outdoor concert on MOCA North Miami’s plaza. Held on the last Friday of each month, Jazz at MOCA has presented musicians from South Florida and beyond since 1999. Seating begins at 7 p.m., followed by the concert at 8 p.m.

The October program features the Mike Gerber Quartet. Pianist, composer and educator Mike Gerber has performed with artists including Dizzy Gillespie, Art Blakey, Jaco Pastorius and Pat Metheny, bringing a career shaped by improvisation, ensemble work and jazz performance to the monthly series.

Registered guests may visit the museum galleries through 10 p.m. with pay-what-you-wish admission. Plaza seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis, and attendees may bring their own chairs. The outdoor concert may be canceled if rain or other inclement weather continues through 8 p.m.
