Jazz at MOCA
Through Dec 25, 2026
monthly on the last Friday
Seating starts at 7:00 PM | Concert: 8:00 PM
A longstanding monthly outdoor concert series brings live jazz to MOCA Plaza, with the June installment featuring Cuban singer and percussionist Jessy Díaz. Jazz at MOCA takes place Friday, June 26 at the Museum of Contemporary Art, North Miami, continuing a free public program presented on the last Friday of each month since 1999. The evening includes open-air music on the plaza and access to the museum’s galleries until 10 p.m.
The June 26 program highlights Díaz’s Latin jazz sound, shaped by cha-cha-cha, danzón, son, mambo, bolero and Afro-Cuban musical traditions. Originally from Cuba, Díaz is also a lecturer in Cuban and Afro-Cuban music and is currently working on multiple studio recording projects.
Seating begins at 7 p.m., with the concert running from 8 to 10 p.m. Admission is free, and registration includes gallery access during the evening. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis, and guests are welcome to bring their own chairs.
