Jazz at MOCA

Live jazz and evening museum access come together during a free outdoor concert on MOCA North Miami’s plaza. Held on the last Friday of each month, Jazz at MOCA has presented musicians from South Florida and beyond since 1999. Seating begins at 7 p.m., followed by the concert at 8 p.m.

The August program features Peruvian pianist, composer and arranger Luis Enrique “Kiki” Sanchez, whose music blends jazz improvisation with tropical rhythms and Afro-Peruvian traditions.

Registered guests may visit the museum galleries through 10 p.m. with pay-what-you-wish admission. Plaza seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis, and attendees may bring their own chairs. The outdoor concert may be canceled if rain or other inclement weather continues through 8 p.m.
