Jazz at MOCA

Enjoy one of Miami's longest-running outdoor jazz concert series every last Friday of the month at MOCA Plaza. For over two decades, Jazz at MOCA has been presenting a diverse program that not only includes music but also multidisciplinary performances. Concerts customarily run from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. with seating starting at 7:00 p.m. Guests are welcome to bring their own chairs.

August 29 - Samambaia

With the vocals of Rose Max at its center, Samambaia delivers a refined take on Samba Raiz, blending traditional Brazilian rhythms with contemporary polish. The ensemble, featuring seven-string guitar, pandeiro, percussive flute and an array of Afro-Brazilian percussion, often collaborates with Miamibloco’s Bateria Saideira and dancers, channeling the exuberance of Rio’s Carnaval into performances that move fluidly between street celebration and club sophistication.
