Jazz at MOCA
Through Dec 25, 2026
monthly on the last Friday
Seating starts at 7:00 PM | Concert: 8:00 PM
A longstanding monthly outdoor concert series brings live jazz to MOCA Plaza, with the May installment highlighting Haitian Heritage Month through a performance by Claudens Louis and The CieL Experience. Jazz at MOCA takes place Friday, May 29 at the Museum of Contemporary Art, North Miami, continuing a free public program presented on the last Friday of each month since 1999. The evening includes open-air music on the plaza and access to the museum’s galleries until 10 p.m.
The May 29 program features Claudens Louis, a Miami-born Haitian American saxophonist and bandleader whose work blends jazz, R&B and konpa. Louis has collaborated with artists including Wyclef Jean and Jason Derulo, and The CieL Experience brings a rhythm-forward sound shaped by Haitian cultural roots and contemporary jazz influences.
Seating begins at 7 p.m., with the concert running from 8 to 10 p.m. Admission is free, and registration includes gallery access during the evening. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis, and guests are welcome to bring their own chairs.
