Just for Me: Planetary Wonders

Explore the unique characteristics of planets in our solar system through sensory-friendly activities designed to support a wide range of learning styles. This specially designed museum experience offers a quieter environment and hands-on exploration for guests with sensory processing or accessibility needs.

Just for Me: Planetary Wonders will be held on Wednesday, September 17 from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday, September 20 from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. at the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science. During these sessions, exhibition spaces will feature adjusted lighting and sound levels to create a more comfortable atmosphere. A special tactile activation will invite participants to feel and compare the textures and colors inspired by planetary surfaces, while also learning what makes Earth uniquely suited for life.

The program allows guests to move at their own pace and encourages families to connect and share resources in a supportive setting. A Social Narrative is available to help visitors prepare for their visit. Activities are designed with accessibility in mind to ensure a welcoming experience for all participants.
