Kindred Animal Spirit

This 3-day cultural festival transforms Overtown’s NW 9th Street Pedestrian Mall into a vibrant open-air gallery of art, music and community. Produced by My Urban Contemporary Experience (MUCE) in conjunction with Soul Basel, Kindred Animal Spirits features over a dozen large-scale murals, a sculpture garden, live performances and a curated marketplace of local vendors. The festival celebrates the profound connection between human migration and animal adaptation.

Beyond the streets, guests can join art talks, panel discussions, film screenings, and hands-on workshops at the historic Thomas Law Gallery. The debut of the Animal Kindred Experience NFT Collection bridges traditional and digital art worlds, empowering local creators, generating new economic opportunities, and positioning Overtown at the center of Miami’s Soul Basel programming and its expanding global cultural presence.
