Discover the beauty of imperfection through the traditional Japanese art of kintsugi at this hands-on craft night at the Miami Beach Botanical Garden.
Kintsugi Japan Craft Night, taking place Saturday, July 12, is part of Crafts & Drafts Miami’s "Crafts Around the World" series. Participants will learn the basics of kintsugi—the practice of mending broken ceramics with metallic lacquer to highlight rather than hide cracks and flaws. All materials and guided instruction are provided, and no prior experience is needed.
The workshop is $45 and includes everything you need to create your own repaired and reimagined ceramic piece.
