Experience the vibrant energy of Klezmer music with the New World Symphony on Saturday, October 26. Join renowned violinist and Berlin Philharmonic concertmaster Noah Bendix-Balgley as he performs alongside the NWS String Fellows in this special pre-season concert. The program features a captivating blend of traditional Klezmer melodies and contemporary compositions, including Bendix-Balgley’s own Klezmer concerto, Fidl-Fantazye. Also on the repertoire is a traditional Odessa Bulgar Medley and works by Grazyna Bacewicz, Leo Weiner and Gideon Klein, whose poignant Partita for Strings was composed shortly before his tragic deportation to Auschwitz.
