New Zealand's acclaimed five-piece musical collective LEISURE brings their distinctive blend of funk-infused sounds to Miami. LEISURE will take center stage at ZeyZey on Thursday, March 13, showcasing their evolution from a spontaneous formation on New Zealand's west coast to their current status as international touring artists.
The performance comes amid the band's continued exploration of new sonic territories, following their journey from their self-titled debut album through Twister and Sunsetter to their latest work Leisurevision. The album pulls inspiration from diverse eras—incorporating elements of seventies Blue-eyed-Soul, early eighties post-disco, mid-nineties hip-hop drum programming and their signature lush guitar sound.
With over 400 million streams and sold-out performances across New Zealand, Australia, the UK, Europe and now the United States, LEISURE has cultivated a dedicated international following. The five members, each accomplished songwriters and producers in their own right, have created a musical paradigm that focuses on enjoying the ride and keeping a relaxed vibe.
The evening will begin with opening act Arisan on ZeyZey's ZAKU stage. This family-friendly cultural hub will open doors at 8 p.m., with happy hour food and drink specials available until 9pm. While the venue welcomes guests of all ages to many events, this particular performance is restricted to those 18 and older.
