Live multimedia performances blend with poetry and experimental film in an intimate venue setting. SUPERNOVA, presented by Mikah Amani, transforms Sweat Records into an immersive arts space on Friday, February 21.
Combining film and live music, this ambient fusion event presents two short films accompanied with live musical scores, one of which brings the narrative of the song and zine "Leonidas" to the screen. The program continues with spoken word performances backed by a live band.
The event, organized by down4whtvr, a Miami-based arts collective known for showcasing queer artists with an emphasis on Black trans creators, offers an accessible environment for experiencing experimental art forms. Mikah Amani, a local musician and multimedia artist, leads this collaborative presentation.
This all-ages event at Sweat Records includes refreshments and provides an opportunity to experience emerging voices in Miami's alternative arts scene.
