Lunar New Year at Japón

A multi-night dining celebration pairs traditional Lunar New Year performances with contemporary Japanese cuisine in an immersive hotel setting.

This Lunar New Year experience takes place Monday, February 16 and Tuesday, February 17 at Japón at The Setai on Miami Beach, with reservations beginning at 6 p.m. The event welcomes the Year of the Horse through live dragon and lion dance performances accompanied by traditional Guangdong drumming, setting a rhythmic and ceremonial tone for the evening. Guests can explore a curated menu highlighting contemporary Japanese dishes from Japón alongside South Asian flavors from Jaya, complemented by signature cocktails crafted by Chef Vijay Veena.

Japón offers a modern interpretation of Japanese culinary traditions, led by chefs Vijayudu Veena and Iván Monzón, with menus that emphasize balance, technique and presentation, supported by an extensive sake program. The celebration unfolds within The Setai, an Asian Art Deco landmark recognized for its refined design and tranquil atmosphere, providing a fitting backdrop for a culturally focused Lunar New Year dining experience.
