A Miami Beach nightlife institution marks a century of late nights, jukebox music and dive-bar history with a block party on 14th Street. Mac’s Club Deuce 100-Year Anniversary Block Party takes place Saturday, September 5 in Miami Beach. Presented by the Washington Avenue BID, the event celebrates one of the area’s longest-running bars and its role as a gathering place for generations of locals, musicians, nightlife regulars and visitors.
Established in 1926, Mac’s Club Deuce is widely recognized as one of Miami Beach’s oldest bars and one of South Beach’s enduring dive bars. Its neon-lit interior, pool table and jukebox have made it a late-night stop for people moving through the city’s music, club and hospitality scenes, while its resistance to reinvention has become part of its appeal. Anthony Bourdain famously described the Deuce as one of his favorite places, reinforcing its reputation as a bar with a loyal following beyond Miami.
The anniversary block party brings that history outdoors for an evening of music, drinks and neighborhood celebration. The event honors not only the bar’s longevity, but also its place in Miami Beach’s cultural memory as a rare holdout from earlier eras of South Beach nightlife.
