Memorial Day Freedom Run

Join a community run that honors military service members in a waterfront setting near Miami. The Memorial Day Freedom Run takes place on Saturday, May 24, at Playita, Key Biscayne, located across from the Miami Marine Stadium. This event welcomes participants of all ages and abilities.
The run is organized in three waves (7:30 a.m., 8:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m.) with limited capacity per group, creating an intimate and supportive atmosphere. Participants receive a running t-shirt, finisher's medal, finisher's towel or alternative giveaway, digital training materials and an invitation to join local running clubs. Technical running shirts are available for an additional $5.
Unlike larger races, this event offers a streamlined experience with no packet pickup required—swag is shipped directly to participants' addresses the week of the race, while race bibs are provided on-site. Timing is optional, with participants able to track their progress through personal apps or with assistance from event coordinators. Registration is expected to fill quickly, with interested runners encouraged to secure their preferred wave time in advance.
