Miami Art Week: Disco + Design Installation

Discover how disco culture continues to influence contemporary design and music at Miami Art Week: Disco + Design Installation, an immersive exhibition at The Standard Spa, Miami Beach, from December 4 to 8. Presented by Supermarket Creative’s Look + See Projects, The Standard Spa, Miami Beach and The Future Perfect, this exhibition explores disco’s enduring impact through curated furniture, lighting and soundscapes.

Marking The Standard brand’s 25th anniversary, the installation transforms three hotel rooms into immersive vignettes. Conceptualized and styled by Michelle Leshem, with furniture and lighting selections by The Future Perfect, the installation highlights works by artists and designers such as Chris Wolston, Ian Collings, Reinaldo Sanguino, Chen Chen & Kai Williams, and many more. Each vignette delves into disco’s impact across textiles, lighting and audio, presenting a narrative that spans past, present and future.

Adding to the experience, soundscapes curated by Nicky Night Time and Michelle Leshem pair with the diorama themes, showcasing disco’s eclectic range from groovy to cosmic. Visitors are invited to explore the installation daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on The Standard’s Terrace.

Presented in collaboration with Freixenet, Disco + Design offers a multi-sensory journey that bridges art, music and design.
