Celebrate Caribbean Heritage Month and Black Music Month with a culinary festival that blends bold flavors, local culture and community spirit in an open-air market setting.
The Miami Gardens Soul + Caribbean Food Festival & Market takes place Saturday, May 31 at Carol City Park, also known as Walt Fraizer Park. This free event offers a mix of food, music and shopping, anchored by a $2,000 cash prize culinary battle featuring dishes like oxtail, conch, souse, seafood, BBQ and dessert. Attendees can sample a variety of Caribbean and soul food specialties while enjoying live DJs, entertainment and performances throughout the day.
In addition to food, the event features a curated market with local vendors offering beauty, fashion and lifestyle products. Admission is free with registration, but space is limited. The event is presented in partnership with Commissioner Oliver G. Gilbert III, the Center for Black Innovation and The Hungry Black Man.
