MOCA Makers: Light and Language

Illuminate your creativity at MOCA Makers: Light and Language.
Join the MOCA Makers workshop on Saturday, September 14 for a hands-on experience exploring light and language. Led by artist Dimitry Saïd Chamy, this hands-on project invites participants to collaborate in creating a digital alphabet using light boxes and mixed materials.
The letters you design will be used to project poems composed by participants from the museum's Summer Poetry and Art Series, merging visual art and literature for an illuminating experience. This workshop offers an opportunity to express your creativity and contribute to a collaborative art project.
Dimitry Saïd Chamy is a transdisciplinary artist with a passion for hybrid generative systems. His work is influenced by his diverse background as a queer Haitian-Lebanese immigrant, drawing inspiration from his experiences, love of nature, science, and storytelling.
