Moon Over Miami River Cruise
Dec 19, 2026
From: 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Downtown Miami’s history unfolds from the water during an evening cruise along the Miami River led by Museum of Miami Resident Historian Dr. Paul S. George. The Saturday, December 19 installment of the museum’s recurring river cruise series traces the area’s development from the Tequesta and early river settlements to the neighborhoods, archaeological sites and landmarks that shape the city today.
George, a Miami native, author and longtime historian, has led Museum of Miami tours for more than three decades. His narration connects the riverfront landscape with stories of the people, communities and historic sites that have defined South Florida across generations.
The cruise departs from the Island Queen docks at Bayside Marketplace aboard a two-level vessel with indoor and open-air seating. Water and soda are included, with additional snacks and drinks available for purchase. Tickets are $85 for museum members, $95 for nonmembers and $50 for children ages 14 and under.
