Join Washington Avenue BID in celebrating the 60th Anniversary of Muhammad Ali's first Heavyweight title victory over Sonny Liston, a historic moment that unfolded right on Washington Avenue. To honor Ali's unparalleled legacy, the Washington Avenue BID in collaboration with HistoryMiami Museum present the Muhammad Ali Historical Timeline, a temporary tribute exhibition on display at 555 Washington Ave. from February 23 through August 1. The exhibition takes you on a journey through Ali's life, from childhood to Miami, the Olympics, title bouts and his global influence. Explore his entire career, from training at 5th & Washington to winning the Championship title as well as his lasting impact as an entertainer and significant social and humanitarian contributions.
