Newly Opposed and Mad Kelly

Gramps Wynwood hosts an evening of alternative sounds that range from heavy riffs to emo-inspired melodies.

Newly Opposed and Mad Kelly takes place Saturday, September 13, presented by Breakeven Booking. Newly Opposed, a Miami band formed in 2022, combines metalcore, shoegaze and nu-metal, with their 2024 album Underglow balancing intensity and atmosphere. Mad Kelly, a South Florida multi-instrumentalist, channels early-2000s nu-metal and emo, exploring themes of vulnerability and self-discovery in recent work such as the single “Sore Eyes.”

Also performing are Intrabloom, Trust Nobody and Tongue Tied, contributing to a lineup that reflects Miami’s evolving alternative and DIY music scene. Doors open at 7 p.m., music begins at 7:30, and tickets are $18 in advance or $20 at the door.
