From: 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM
A powerful collection of photographs capturing the iconic accessories that became symbols of justice and resistance comes to Miami Beach. Panel Discussion: The Collars of Ruth Bader Ginsburg takes place Thursday, March 27 at The Gallery at The Betsy Hotel.
This special evening begins with a cocktail reception at 6:00 p.m., followed by a panel discussion at 6:15 p.m. moderated by James Snyder, Director of the Jewish Museum in New York City. The event celebrates photographer Elinor Carucci's acclaimed collection The Collars of RBG (2023), which documents the distinctive neckwear of the late Supreme Court Justice.
Israeli-American photographer Elinor Carucci, born in 1971, has masterfully captured these meaningful accessories that represented Justice Ginsburg's triumph over adversity and gender discrimination throughout her remarkable career. Each collar in the collection reveals the personal expression and individualism of the pioneering jurist who forever changed the American legal landscape.
The evening will be hosted by Lesley Goldwasser, The Betsy Hotel's curator and owner, in the Carlton Room Gallery space. Attendees will have the chance to meet the artist and gain deeper insights into this photographic work that preserves an important visual legacy of Justice Ginsburg's life and career.
