Passport to Africa

Join the Coral Gables Museum on Thursday, September 19 as they honor the contributions of Ambassador William Lacy Swing. This special event celebrates the life and legacy of Ambassador William Lacy Swing, whose distinguished diplomatic career spanned over four decades, including significant roles in various African nations as well as Haiti. His career also included prominent positions at the United Nations, culminating in his leadership as Director General of the International Organization for Migration (IOM).

The evening's program, hosted by Mrs. Swing, Alan Bernstein, Willie Logan and Dave Lawrence, will feature a cocktail reception and an opportunity to explore a compelling collection of African masks and passports, recently donated by Mrs. Yuen Swing to the museum's permanent collection.
