Peter Bjorn and John: Writer’s Block 20th Anniversary Tour
This event has passed.
Swedish indie-pop band Peter Bjorn and John bring their 20th-anniversary celebration of Writer’s Block to ZeyZey Miami’s Zaku Stage. The Miami performance takes place Sunday, October 25, as part of a 2026 tour revisiting the band’s breakthrough 2006 album alongside other selections from its catalog.
Writer’s Block helped define the sound of mid-2000s indie pop, earning critical attention on its release and reaching a broad audience through the single “Young Folks,” featuring Victoria Bergsman. Known for its whistled hook, the song became closely associated with the era and appeared in television series including Gossip Girl and How I Met Your Mother.
The album’s influence also extended into hip-hop, with Kanye West rapping over “Young Folks” for his 2007 mixtape Can’t Tell Me Nothing, while Drake and Azealia Banks later drew from other Writer’s Block tracks.
ZeyZey Miami is an open-air cultural venue in Little Haiti known for live music, DJ events, craft cocktails, natural wines and food from Tacos María, including grass-fed, seed-oil-free tacos.
