Get inspired to learn more about local ecology and how to protect natural resources at the Deering Estate on Saturday, July 15. In recognition of Latino Conservation Week, the Deering Estate is hosting a rare native orchid planting in the estate's historic Garden Brook Trail and how-to session on building a bee hotel to provide shelter for solitary native bees in your garden. Botanists and naturalists from Fairchild’s Million Orchid Project and UF/IFAS Extension will be present to answer orchid and bee questions.
This event is sponsored by the Coral Pines Garden Club and the Hispanic Access Foundation. Attendees must be 8 years and older.
