From: 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM
Learn practical techniques for extending the life of fresh, seasonal produce in a hands-on workshop set amidst the tropical abundance of Fruit & Spice Park. Preserving the Harvest takes place on Saturday, June 14, introducing participants to foundational food preservation methods using ingredients grown on-site.
Designed for both beginners and those with some experience, this demonstration-based session covers a range of techniques—including drying, pickling and canning—with a focus on the unique flavors and textures of tropical fruits and vegetables. Alongside practical tips, the workshop explores how preservation can help reduce food waste, extend seasonal bounty and foster a deeper connection to local food systems.
Held in the lush surroundings of Fruit & Spice Park, the class encourages attendees to engage directly with the landscape and its diverse plant life. Space is limited, and advance registration is recommended.
