Rock and Rhythm Weekend: Gold Dust Lounge

On Saturday, October 12, Live on the Plaza concludes its Rock and Rhythm Weekend with a performance by Miami-based band Gold Dust Lounge at the Adrienne Arsht Center’s Thomson Plaza for the Arts. Beginning at 7:30 p.m., the quartet, led by guitarist-composer Russell Mofsky, will showcase their eclectic sound - a blend of surf jazz, lounge noir and punk meets Americana. Known for their cinematic style, Gold Dust Lounge’s music evokes the feel of films by Quentin Tarantino and David Lynch.

With a lineup featuring guitar, violin, bass and drums, each Gold Dust Lounge performance is a one-of-a-kind event, described as mod exotica and surf noir. The band’s self-titled album was nominated for Best Instrumental Album of 2019 by the Independent Music Awards. Doors open at 6 p.m., with light bites and beverages available for purchase.
