Join Miami historian and hip-hop documentarian Derick G. at Show & Tell: A Miami-Dade History Lesson on Saturday, November 2, at The Art of Hip Hop. Doors open at 7 p.m., followed by an engaging talk and Q&A session at 7:30 p.m., where Derick and Abel Sanchez, owner of the Miami Stadium Collection, will dive into Miami’s vibrant history and showcase rare objects and ephemera that highlight the city’s cultural roots.
Known for his behind-the-scenes photography in hip-hop, Derick G. brings a unique perspective, capturing iconic moments of artists deeply connected to Miami, including Lil Wayne, Drake, Rick Ross and Pitbull. Abel Sanchez’s Miami Stadium Collection, established in 2020, offers a rare glimpse into Miami’s history, blending local sports and cultural artifacts.
