Discover a gentle yet effective approach to improving mobility and relieving everyday tension through a guided somatic movement session at Miami Beach Botanical Garden. Designed for those seeking better flexibility, strength and ease in daily motion, this experience emphasizes slow, mindful movements to activate underused muscles and reduce discomfort in areas like the back, shoulders, neck and knees.
Somatic Method Yoga takes place on Saturday, June 28 and is led by longtime instructor Will Thomas. The two-part session begins with a seated discussion and demonstration of somatic learning principles, followed by a 35-minute full-body sequence aimed at helping participants feel more balanced and physically aware. This is not a traditional yoga class or high-intensity workout—it’s a straightforward, restorative practice rooted in body awareness and nervous system regulation.
Attendees will also receive access to a recording of the routine and may join optional live Zoom sessions held four times weekly for continued practice.
