Tales at the Table

Food, music and guided storytelling come together in an intimate dining experience built around the sights, sounds and cultural touchstones of the 1990s. Presented Sunday, November 29 at Dolores but You Can Call Me Lolita, Tales at the Table: A Love Letter to the 90s explores the decade through a multi-course meal, a signature cocktail and facilitated conversation.

Hosted by Key2MIA and AAEX, the installment looks back on 1990s music, television, fashion, slang and shared rituals, with particular attention to Black culture and its influence on the era. References range from New Jack Swing and Black sitcoms to mixtapes, answering-machine messages and other markers of everyday life.

Admission includes the multi-course meal, one signature cocktail, guided storytelling, interactive moments and a themed tablescape designed to support conversation and shared reflection.
