The Wheel: Songs From the Road

The Aventura Arts & Cultural Center presents The Wheel: Songs From the Road on October 17, as part of YI Love Jewish's YIDFEST 2024 series.

Musicologist, singer and composer Dr. Zisl Slepovitch brings a program featuring rare songs and instrumental pieces discovered in Eastern Europe. Recorded from elderly Jewish communities, these works offer a glimpse into a rich musical heritage. Slepovitch, a renowned multi-instrumentalist, will perform alongside his ensemble, The Zisl Slepovitch Klezmer trio, transporting audiences on a journey through Eastern European Jewish musical traditions.
