Ti Kado Brunch: Haitian Mother’s Day

A midday celebration of Haitian music, cuisine and cultural pride honors mothers and maternal figures in a warm, community setting. The Ti Kado Brunch: Haitian Mother’s Day Brunch, presented by the City of North Miami, takes place on Monday, May 26 at The Katz Restaurant and Lounge.
“Ti Kado,” meaning “little gift,” captures the spirit of the event—a heartfelt gathering that invites guests to express appreciation through traditional Haitian dishes and live performances featuring kompa and rara rhythms. The brunch welcomes families and friends to celebrate mothers, grandmothers, godmothers and other maternal figures in an atmosphere rooted in gratitude and cultural connection.
