Vizcaya's Rare Orchids: A Behind the Scenes Guided Tour

Rare orchids and specialized plant care take center stage in a behind-the-scenes tour of Vizcaya Museum & Gardens. Offered Friday, October 9 and Friday, November 6, the guided experience is led by orchid specialist Axel Cahiz and includes access to areas of the estate not typically open to the public.

Participants will explore Vizcaya’s orchid collection while learning about the cultivation and maintenance of these delicate plants. Cahiz will share practical care techniques along with background on the collection’s diversity, offering both seasoned orchid growers and curious beginners a closer look at how the museum preserves and displays its specimens.

Tickets include general museum admission for the day. The program takes place rain or shine and is not recommended for children ages 5 and younger.
