Enjoy a day of music, community connection and health awareness at a free outdoor celebration that brings together live entertainment and educational outreach.
The SCDAA Miami-Dade County Chapter is hosting a free World Sickle Cell Day Concert, Youth Talent Show and Juneteenth Pop-Up at the Little Haiti Cultural Complex on Saturday, June 15. This free family-friendly event will feature live performances by youth talent and local artists, including Super Siah and Beam Squad, KJ Marley, Kastin Marley, Damis Squad, Blind GetBig, AR The Prophet (also known as Sickle Cell Souljah), CyCy and Lickson.
Guests can also engage with health experts from the University of Miami Sickle Cell Team, including Dr. Thomas Harrington, Dr. Ofelia Alvarez, Dr. Edward Ziga and Maya Bloomberg, MSN, APRN. The event also includes a teen talent showcase, games, free massages, giveaways and access to educational resources.
Admission is free and open to the public. Donations are welcomed to support ongoing outreach and sickle cell advocacy.
