While New Year Eve celebrations in Miami will be more subdued than usual, there are still ways to enjoy some (socially distanced) fun. Restaurants, hotels and event spaces across Miami are planning shindigs, from rooftops in Wynwood to yachts on Biscayne Bay. Read on for a few ways you can ring in the New Year in Miami this year.

New Year's Eve with Nelly

The iconic Fontainebleau Miami Beach will ring in the new year with Grammy Award-winning rapper, singer, songwriter Nelly. Hosted on the resort’s legendary oceanfront poolscape, this exclusive event features outdoor table service and hotel room night packages that provide guests with an all-inclusive evening. Table reservations only, no general admission, all health & safety protocols will follow the resort’s Bleau Clean initiative.

Let Them Eat Cake! A Night of Royal Rooftop Revelry

Perched on a warehouse rooftop in Wynwood, No. 3 Social is throwing a Marie Antoinette-themed New Years Eve bash with Let Them Eat Cake! A Night of Royal Rooftop Revelry. Tickets include premium open bar, dinner, free-flowing champagne, live entertainment with an electric violinist and a fire dancer and plenty of party favors. Various VIP packages are available. Guests will be required to wear masks when moving around the outdoor venue to ensure a celebration that’s as safe as possible.

Kiss it Goodbye – 2021 W Miami New Year’s Eve Party

Head to W Miami hotel’s 15th-floor rooftop and sprawling poolscape for a New Year’s Eve party in Brickell (a great way to kiss 2020 goodbye and welcome in a fresh start with 2021!). Tickets include a premium open bar, party favors, a private fireworks show and entertainment by live DJs in a stylish setting with VIP packages available. The outdoor party will adhere to CDC guidelines for social distancing and guests are required to wear masks.

Gatsby’s Yacht New Year’s Eve 2021

Step aboard the SeaFair megayacht docked by the InterContinental Hotel in downtown Miami at Chopin Plaza. You’ll set sail for a New Year’s Eve party cruise in pure Gatsby style with front-row views of fireworks. Your ticket grants you access to a premium open bar, hors d’oeuvres including a raw bar and live DJs on multiple decks. Various VIP packages are available. The cruise will follow all CDC guidelines for social distancing, masks and sanitization.

Cuba Under the Stars New Years Eve Celebration

Set on the sprawling grounds of the Miami-Dade County Fair & Exposition Center at Tamiami Park, Cuba Under the Stars is an outdoor dinner theater New Year’s Eve extravaganza featuring a majestic musical theater production with a grand orchestra starring Broadway dancers and Grammy Award-winning musicians. Celebrating Cuban culture along with the New Year, the menu includes Cuban cocktails and cuisine prepared by Chef Ana Quincoces. Table reservations can be made in pairs or groups of four and seating will be spaced with social distancing guidelines in mind.

Sagamore New Year’s

Dubbed the art hotel thanks to its impressive contemporary collection throughout the property, South Beach’s Sagamore hotel is throwing a New Year’s Eve celebration outdoors around its pool deck with a special guest DJ. To encourage social distancing, tickets will be sold for table reservations (for parties of four to 10 guests). Mask guidelines will be enforced, and guests are encouraged to come up with some festive ways to mask-accessorize!

Novecento New Year’s Eve Celebration

With locations in Brickell, Aventura, Key Biscayne and Doral, Novecento is throwing New Year’s Eve dinner party celebrations all across Miami. The beloved Argentinian grill will serve a special three-course dinner that will include decadent options such as branzino tartare with truffle and yuzu, seared scallops in lemon butter, roasted rack of lamb with mint chimichurri, pan-seared sea bass and, of course, prime rib with various sides, such as truffle mashed potatoes. Every reservation enjoys a complimentary champagne toast for a happy New Year.

Make your way to the lush and festive Calle23 Cuban restaurant on Miracle Mile in Coral Gables and send off 2020 in style with their Adios 2020, Bienvenido 2021 dinner party.
