Free Fireworks in South Beach

Every year there are a wide variety of New Year’s Eve parties like the City of Miami Beach’s annual New Year's Eve celebration featuring fireworks at midnight. Show up early to the beach at 9th Street and Ocean Drive and stake out a spot on the sand - don’t forget to bring along your picnic basket. Or join the well-heeled crowds at one of the many hotels along this famous strip of sand where the specialty cocktails and champagne will flow.

The Big Orange Drop and Fireworks in Downtown Miami

Head to Bayfront Park on the Metromover in Downtown Miami for another firework spectacular that is open to the public for free. Enjoy a dance party, live music and a countdown to midnight as the “The Big Orange” (a 35-foot neon orange icon with sunglasses) ascends to the top of the InterContinental Miami hotel. This consistently ranked amongst the best places to say hello to the new year by national outlets. Pitbull will be back to host this mega NYE event where there is a huge crowd but also options for upgraded tickets.

The Wharf Miami Rings in the New Year on the River

The Wharf Miami, a chic space along the Miami River where it’s always a good time and a festive atmosphere, is really taking it up a notch for their New Year’s Eve fete. Local chefs from popular local’s eateries will be onsite like Lung Yai Thai Tapas, CRACKED by Chef Adrianne, Spris Artisan Pizza, MOJO Donuts and many more. There will be midnight fireworks, of course! Various ticket options are available, including free admission, Express Admission tickets to skip the line, and table packages.

Luminosa! Chinese Lantern Festival at Jungle Island

Go on an exploration this New Year's at Luminosa, a magical nighttime journey through the jungle strewn with hand-crafted Chinese lanterns.
