Don’t miss these Miami events in the month of February.

While the rest of the country is freezing cold, Miami offers tropical weather and a hot list of not-to-miss events. Whether you take advantage of all the hotel and restaurant deals or attend one of the many popular festivals, February has something for everyone.

Miami International Map Fair: Feb. 2-3

Spark a little worldly wanderlust at HistoryMiami’s annual Miami International Map Fair in Downtown. Check out antique maps, rare books and globes and spend some time dreaming about your next big trip. The event will feature nearly 40 of the most renowned map dealers from around the world, as well as a special line-up of international speakers. Tickets start at $15 per person for daily admission. VIP full access weekend registration is $75.

GroundUP Music Festival: Feb. 8-10

Enjoy a lively outdoor music festival at the North Beach Bandshell in Miami Beach. Back for its third edition, the GroundUP Music Festival will feature three-time Grammy Award winner Snarky Puppy as headliner for three days, including the first live performance of a brand new album. When the music at the North Beach Bandshell wraps at 11 p.m., live performances will continue at multiple venues until 4 a.m.  Tickets start at $85 per person for single day admission or $225 for all three days. Late night show tickets start at $20.

Miami International Boat Show: Feb. 14-18

Held each year in February, Progressive Insurance’s Miami International Boat Show is back at Miami Marine Stadium Park & Basin on the Rickenbacker Causeway leading out to Virginia Key and Key Biscayne. Featuring the finest collection of both powerboat and sailing products in one location, browse more than 170 marine brands. There will be seminar tents dedicated to sailing and boating education, featuring dozens of seminars each day. Hop on one of the free water taxis or shuttles for easy access to the show. Tickets start at $25; two-day passes are $45; children 12 and younger are free.

Miami Yacht Show: Feb. 14-18

Also happening at the same time as the Miami International Boat Show, check out the latest yachts and marine technology at the Miami Yacht Show. In a new location this year, the 31st annual show will take place just north of Downtown Miami next to the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts and the Sea Isle Marina. Tickets start at $25; children 15 and under are free. VIP access is $150.

Art Wynwood: Feb. 14-18

Back for its eighth annual edition, Art Wynwood is a prestigious fair featuring contemporary works from around the world. Explore art from more than 70 international galleries at the new home of Art Miami and CONTEXT Art Miami (located at the former Miami Herald site) on Biscayne Bay in Downtown Miami. Tickets to Art Wynwood start at $15.

Watches & Wonders Miami: Feb. 15-17

You deserve to immerse yourself in a weekend of luxury! The Miami Design District is hosting Watches & Wonders Miami. Take a relaxing walk around the area while discovering the latest in high-end timepieces and jewelry from top brands. Enhance your experience by attending some of the workshops, concerts, happy hours, in-store presentations and VIP events that will make this a weekend to remember.

III Points Music Festival: Feb. 15-17

Returning for its sixth season, III Points is an alternative music festival that continues to grow in size and scope. This year’s headliners include SZA, Tyler the Creator, A$AP Rocky and Erykah Badu. Reflective of Miami’s diversity, the festival will include more than 100 performers on six stages at the 100,000-square-foot Mana Wynwood in the Wynwood Arts District. Other highlights include immersive art installations, panels, master classes and more. Gates open at 5 p.m. and music goes until 5 a.m. Three-day general admission tickets start at $205.

Coconut Grove Arts Festival: Feb. 16-18

One of the largest outdoor art festivals in the country, the annual Coconut Grove Arts Festival is held each year on President's Day Weekend. Enjoy live music, food by local chefs and, of course, lots of great art. Check out the work of more than 300 international artists in the eclectic seaside village of Coconut Grove. Tickets start at $15 and there’s a $5 discount for residents. Proceeds go towards scholarships to students who attend fine arts programs at local schools.

Gay8 Festival: FEB. 17

Back for its fourth edition, Gay8 Festival is a free, one-day event in Little Havana on Calle Ocho. Enjoy live music, street performances, and entertainment from the South Florida LGBT community. Last year more than 60,000 danced in the streets and enjoyed the fanfare. General admission is free. VIP tickets are available for $100 per person.

SOBEWFF: Feb. 20-24

Back in Miami for its 18th edition, the Food Network & Cooking Channel South Beach Wine & Food Festival (SOBEWFF) will dazzle your taste buds. Nosh on delicious eats crafted by celebrity chefs and attend glitzy late-night parties at this popular annual festival. The five-day event attracts more than 60,000 people and is hosted by Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits and Florida International University. Proceeds benefit FIU’s Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management. Ticket prices vary by event and sell out fast.

South Miami Rotary Art Festival: Feb. 23-24

The 35th annual South Miami Rotary Art Festival will take place in Downtown South Miami along picturesque Sunset Drive. Listen to live music, hang out in the beer garden and view works by more than 150 artists. Admission is free.

Winter Party Festival: Feb. 27 - Mar. 5

A week’s worth of parties draws over 10,000 people from around the globe to Miami Beach for Winter Party Festival, one of the biggest LGBTQ festivals in the country. Founded in 1994 with just a single dance party on South Beach, today the weeklong celebration features live music and special events from sun up to sun down and around again. Ticket prices vary depending on the event. Proceeds benefit the National LGBTQ Task Force.

Black Heritage Festival: Feb. 23

Join the Miami community for the 6th Annual Black Heritage Festival, to commemorate the many great achievements and influences of African Americans. This celebration of African American culture includes fashion, musical entertainment, rock climbing, a bounce house, face painting, vendors, food trucks and more. This is free event and the festivities take place from noon to 4 p.m.
