Located in the breathtaking outdoor Shops of Merrick Park, Sawa Restaurant & Lounge opened in 2010 with a contemporary Mediterranean and Japanese dual-concept. The menu tells a story of where the East meets the Far East and dishes span the realm of tapas, kebabs, and sushi. Sawa has earned numerous awards and recognition for its outstanding ambiance, creative cocktails, eclectic cuisine, and chic lounge atmosphere. Entertainment is also an integral part of the story, focusing on an upscale dinnertainment concept as dinner guests are enchanted by live professional bellydance shows every weekend while they dine under the stars. Sawa means "Togetherness" in Arabic and "Harmony" in Japanese. This venue offers event space which includes the bar with a seating capacity of 12, the reception lounge with a seated capacity of 15 and 40 standing/social style. The seated capacity for the cabana lounge seats 13 guests, indoor seating accommodates 13 guests where as indoor standing accommodates 75 guests. Outdoor seating is available it can accommodate 75 guests.
