From: 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Tropical fruit enthusiasts and culinary adventurers can dive into a weekend dedicated to one of Miami's most iconic fruits. The Mango Festival returns to Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden on July 12 & 13, continuing a tradition that has spanned more than three decades.
A Showcase of Mango Diversity
This two-day event features hundreds of exotic mango varieties through a variety of activations that showcase the fruit’s versatility and cultural importance. Guests can sample diverse cultivars grown as part of Fairchild's Tropical Fruit Program, with bite-sized tastings available for purchase while supplies last.
Mango Marketplace and Culinary Offerings
The festival marketplace highlights local artisans offering mango-inspired goods, while food vendors serve up creative culinary interpretations using the star ingredient. Refreshment options include the garden’s popular mango smoothies, and for guests 21 and over, the Mango Mania Bar offers specialty cocktails infused with fresh mango flavors.
More Mango Festival Highlights
Festivalgoers can deepen their knowledge through an educational lecture series featuring mango experts. Presentations cover a wide range of topics—from cultivation techniques and culinary uses to beauty applications—offering valuable insights for both novice gardeners and seasoned horticulturists.
Aspiring backyard growers can explore the Fairchild Choice Mango Tree Sale, which features specially selected varieties ideal for South Florida’s climate. Fresh mangoes harvested from Fairchild’s collection are also available for purchase, although they often sell out quickly.
Throughout the weekend, visitors can enjoy live performances by local musicians and participate in family-friendly activities on the Garden House Lawn. The festivities culminate with the Annual Mango Sunday Brunch, a curated dining experience featuring top Miami chefs serving up mango-inspired dishes.
A Signature Fairchild Tradition
The Mango Festival is one of Fairchild’s signature annual events, blending education and entertainment in a celebration of South Florida’s agricultural heritage and culinary creativity.
