Overnight Front Desk - Hotel Victor South Beach

The Night Audit / Front Desk Associate is responsible for managing the overnight front desk, guest services, and financial audit tasks. This role ensures a seamless guest experience during late hours while performing key accounting, reconciliation, and reporting duties that support next-day hotel operations.
Job Responsibilities
- Check in guests and answer phones
- Respond to guest complaints, requests, and emergencies
- Process invoices, post checks to vendors, and distribute employee checks
- Reconcile accounts and maintain accurate financial records
- Balance the cash drawer and log receipts
- Investigate and resolve out-of-balance accounts
- Assist in preparing forecasts and audits
- Perform nightly audit: reconcile charges and close out the business day in the PMS
- Generate end-of-day reports, shift summaries, and prepare for the next day
- Post incidental charges (spa, room service, restaurant, valet, lost items) to guest folios
- Balance cash and credit-card transactions in compliance with accounting standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in hotel front desk, hospitality, or guest services
- Basic accounting or cash-handling skills; comfortable with reconciliation and PMS systems
- Excellent customer service and communication skills — friendly, calm, diplomatic
- Ability to work overnight shifts
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities
- Capacity to stand for long periods and occasionally assist with guest belongings
- Professional, discreet, and courteous; represents the hotel’s boutique standards
- Preferred: Familiarity with hotel PMS, knowledge of South Beach area, multilingual abilities (Spanish a plus)
