A Floral Extravaganza with Master Florist Mario Fernandez

Holiday floral design takes center stage during a demonstration by florist Mario Fernandez of Belle Fleur at Coral Gables Congregational United Church of Christ. Presented Thursday, November 5 by the Coral Gables Garden Club, the program features Fernandez alongside event designer Ivan Garcia, with arrangements, practical design tips and stories drawn from their work.

This year’s floral designs incorporate a patriotic theme marking the 250th anniversary of the United States. Live piano music by Marina Berberian accompanies the morning, followed by a sweet and savory luncheon buffet, mimosa bar, bake sale and raffle featuring several of Fernandez’s arrangements.

Proceeds support the Coral Gables Garden Club’s educational and community programs. Seating is limited.
