A Morning With Margaret Atwood & Jess Gibson
Nov 21, 2026
Starting: 11:00 AM
The connections between lived experience, storytelling and the limits of perception shape a literary conversation at Miami Book Fair. A Morning With Margaret Atwood & Jess Gibson takes place Saturday, November 21 at the Chapman Conference Center at Miami Dade College’s Wolfson Campus in Downtown Miami. Georgina Godwin, books editor for Monocle Radio, moderates.
Atwood, the Canadian author of The Handmaid’s Tale, discusses Book of Lives: A Memoir of Sorts. Tracing her life from a nomadic childhood in Quebec through formative relationships and political turning points, the memoir examines the experiences behind her writing.
Gibson presents The Good Eye: Stories, a collection of 12 tales exploring perception, power and the instability of appearances. Encounters involving revenge, artistic pretension and unsettling physical transformations reveal how beauty can become grotesque and apparent genius can unravel.
Tickets are $20 and include a pass to the weekend Street Fair. Copies of the featured books are not included. Friends of the Fair may use their available complimentary Evenings With tickets.
