African Fashion Week: REGENESIS Crafting the Future
Dec 06, 2026
From: 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM
A runway presentation explores contemporary African fashion through themes of renewal, craftsmanship and future-focused design.
African Fashion Week - REGENESIS: Crafting the Future takes place on Sunday, December 6 at the Scott Galvin Community Center in North Miami. Presented annually by AfriKin, the event is part of the organization’s broader cultural programming and offers a themed fashion showcase that shifts each year.
The 2026 edition centers on REGENESIS, examining what follows resistance through fashion rooted in reconstruction, cultural continuity and creative authorship. Designers present collections that combine heritage techniques with modern silhouettes, Afrofuturist perspectives and sustainability-driven approaches, positioning African and diasporic fashion as a source of innovation rather than response.
Hosted at Maison AfriKin within the Scott Galvin Community Center, the event brings together designers, artists and audiences for a curated runway experience that frames fashion as both cultural expression and forward-looking practice. Proceeds support AfriKin Foundation’s nonprofit initiatives focused on arts education, artist support and community development.
