AfriKin Art Fair
Nov 30, 2025 - Dec 07, 2025
Sun: 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM | Mon - Sun: 11:00 AM - 9:00 PM
Art, ritual and cultural memory converge in Afrikin Art Fair: Through Creation, We Find Meaning, a multidisciplinary exhibition at the Scott Galvin Community Center in North Miami.
On view from November 30 to December 7, the fair is curated by Joseph L. Underwood, Ph.D., and brings together artists of Global Africa through painting, sculpture, installation, sound and movement. The exhibition unfolds in three thematic movements: Testimony, where works bear witness to silenced histories; Remedy, where art serves as ritual for healing; and Reclamation, where creators resist erasure and reclaim cultural memory.
Programming includes daily exhibitions, performances and workshops, with highlights such as the Opening Night All-White Vernissage and VIP Preview on November 30, AfriKin Talks on Ethical Practices in the Arts on December 5, fashion workshops on December 6, and the runway presentation Resistance on the Runway on December 7, showcasing designers from across Global Africa and the Black World.
