Dec 05, 2026
From: 11:00 AM to 09:00 PM
An in-depth fashion workshop offers direct access to designers shaping contemporary African and diasporic style through craftsmanship, sustainability and creative authorship.
Afrikin Fashion Week Workshop: Fashion Styling takes place on Saturday, December 5 at the Scott Galvin Community Center in North Miami during Miami Art Week. Presented by AfriKin, the workshop is part of the lead-up to African Fashion Week Miami and centers on the 2026 theme, REGENESIS: Crafting the Future.
The program provides a behind-the-scenes look at African fashion as an evolving global industry, with participating designers sharing insight into styling, heritage-based techniques, sustainable practices and contemporary business models. Attendees engage through discussions, demonstrations and curated shopping experiences that highlight how tradition and innovation intersect in modern African design.
Hosted at Maison AfriKin within the Scott Galvin Community Center, the workshop emphasizes fashion as both cultural expression and economic force. Proceeds support AfriKin Foundation’s nonprofit initiatives focused on arts education, cultural preservation and community development.
