From: 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM
An opening-night vernissage sets the tone for Miami Art Week with curated exhibitions, cultural dialogue and a formal social gathering centered on African and diasporic art.
AfriKin Vernissage: An All White Affair takes place on Sunday, November 29 at the Scott Galvin Community Center in North Miami. Presented as the official kickoff to AfriKin Art Fair during Miami Art Week, the evening serves as a preview of the fair’s exhibitions and programming ahead of its public opening.
The vernissage brings together artists, collectors, curators and cultural leaders for an evening focused on contemporary African and African diasporic creativity. Guests experience immersive exhibitions, artistic installations and opportunities for conversation around culture, identity and sustainability, all within a formal, all-white dress setting.
Hosted at Maison AfriKin within the Scott Galvin Community Center, the event functions as both a social and cultural entry point to AfriKin Art Fair’s broader weeklong program, highlighting the fair’s role in shaping dialogue around global African art during Miami Art Week.
