The Florida Water Release event takes place on Tuesday, June 3 at Dale Zine, and features a reading and conversation between Aja Monet and journalist Nadege Green. Florida Water, Monet’s latest poetry collection, reflects on her move to South Florida and the complex emotional and political terrain she encountered. The book weaves together stories of migration, identity and activism, drawing from her experiences as a poet and organizer in a region marked by ecological vulnerability, systemic inequality and cultural resilience.

The venue, Dale Zine, is a creative hub known for supporting independent publishing and local artists.
